The power star Puneeth Rajakumar 14th film as hero ‘Prithvi’ – the ultimate power went on the floor at Ulsoor Someshwara Temple on Thursday morning. Parvathi Menon is appearing again opposite Puneeth Rajakumar after ‘Milana’.

This one is different from all other Puneeth Rajakumar films promises producer Soorappa Babu. He is producing this film with another producer NS Rajakumar.

Puneeth Rajakumar is confident with the caliber of director Jacob Verghese. After watching his ‘Savari’ he came up with a subject and I am impressed with it said Puneeth Rajakumar. Parvathi Menon is already a proved actress and it is nice to work her disclosed Puneeth.

‘I want to be a part of good cinema and a good space has been allotted to me in this film’ so I am here said Parvathi Menon who has acted in ‘Milana’ the super hit film and then in the vital role in ‘Male Barali Manjoo Irali’. I have not seen this type of approach to a cinema so far. I am told not to divulge anything about my role said Parvathi in her address.

Director Jacob Verghese knowing the image and strength of Puneeth Rajakumar ha prepared a story to suit him and this will be a decent film he assures. It was my dream too to take up big star film and Puneeth Rajakumar is outstanding in that way stated Jacob Verghese. He has selected Parvathi Menon after watching her Tamil film ‘Poo’. There are lot of dimensions to her role and she is capable of delivering it says Jacob Verghese.

It has been two years waiting to produce a film starring Puneeth Rajakumar. He was first impressed with ‘Savari’ songs and he heard the one line story from Jacob Verghese. In fifteen days time we met again to give the pattern of the film and Puneeth Rajakumar elder brother Ragavendra Rajakumar was also happy with the subject. Not even a single frame you would find from the earlier films of Puneeth Rajakumar said the confident Soorappa Babu. The major portion of the shooting will be held in Bangalore, Salem and Vizag disclosed joint producer NS Rajakumar.

Srinivasamurthy, Avinash, Ramesh Bhat Satyapriya, John Kokkin, John Vijay (Lakshman in Mani Ratnam’s ‘Raavan’) and others are in the cast. Manikanth Khadri is the music director.
